Lacy Rae's Birth Story

I have been awaiting this day like a little kid waiting for Christmas morning!  (like, texting Erin every few hours for the last 2 weeks with "how are you feeling?" or "anything happening?" or "serrrrsly...nothing?!" Annoying, I know).   Early Sunday morning, my phone rang at 4:27AM.  Erin was pretty sure this was the real thing, and that little Lacy Rae was on her way.  We all met at the birth house at 5:15AM!  As I'm sure most of you know, Erin isn't the most emotional person in the world, but I really thought her contractions were still pretty easy and light. She was joking and laughing, with an occasional deep breath or body sway during a contraction.  Mom decided to check her to see where we were at and how long we were going to be waiting.  By the sound of her voice, we all prepared ourselves for the worst.  Two, maybe three centimeters we were sure.  Then we heard the glorious words of, "Erin, you're NINE centimeters and almost complete!"  WHAT?!  (I hated her a tiny bit at this point) And, a mere thirty minutes later, Lacy Rae came into the world.  Erin is the most graceful baby haver I've ever seen.  And, can I say how amazing it is to help bring my new niece into the world right beside my brother and mom?  It is hands down one of the most special things I've ever done.

Lacy Rae Tucker weighed in at a whopping 6 lbs. and 8 oz. and was born at 6:07AM. She's perfect in every way.  Thank you, Jesus, for another sweet addition to our family.

I love you, Erin & Russell!  Congratulations on your beautiful new baby girl!

Powers Family

Every year, the Powers family makes their way over to our neck of the woods and I'm lucky enough to get them in front of my camera.
And....their family grows by 1 almost every time too.  ;)
Love these sweet kiddos and their parents.

Prause Family

You know the family is awesome when you don't want to leave the shoot.  The Prauses.  They were *such* a blessing to me.  God used them in ways they didn't even know.  This farm has been in her family so generations, so the location held such a special spot in their heart!  Also, Hagan (their oldest son) is leaving for the army next month.  This momma's peace about that alone spoke measures to my heart.  Her faith is so encouraging to me.  Here are my favorites from their session.
